The Master in Artificial Intelligence (MSc) at Sunway University provides an advanced, hands-on learning experience designed to produce skilled AI professionals ready to lead in the digital era. Students gain access to state-of-the-art AI and Machine Learning Labs equipped with GPU-powered systems, NVIDIA Jetson Nano, IoT prototyping kits, and NVIDIA GPU-accelerated computing on AWS, enabling scalable AI model development and real-world application.

This programme aligns with Malaysia’s national digital transformation agenda, preparing graduates to contribute to the country’s vision as a regional hub for digital innovation. Through a combination of core modules, specialised electives, and applied research, students develop advanced technical expertise, quantitative and analytical skills, and practical experience in AI-based solutions.

Graduates can pursue careers as AI Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, AI Research Scientists, Data Scientists, Robotics Engineers, Software Architects, and Cybersecurity Analysts, equipped with strong ethical, collaborative, and professional competencies. Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related field: CGPA ≥ 2.50
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing (CGPA 2.00–2.49): Eligible subject to internal assessment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Computing field: CGPA ≥ 2.00, may require prerequisite courses or assessment
  • Other Qualifications: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in computing recognised by Malaysian authorities
  • APEL.A Certification: APEL T-7
  • English Language (for international students): IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
