UCSI University’s Foundation in Arts programmes are designed to prepare students for the evolving job market shaped by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Emphasising holistic development, the programmes build strong numerical, communication, analytical, and multidisciplinary thinking skills. SPM / O-Levels: 5 credits
- UEC: 3 credits
- Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
Foundation in Arts (For entry into BA (Hons) Psychology):
- SPM / O-Levels: Minimum 5 credits including credit in Mathematics and a science subject & Pass English
- UEC: Minimum 3 credits including credits in Mathematics and a science subject & Pass English
- Foundation in Arts (For entry into BA (Hons) English Language and Communication / BA (Hons) Mass Communication)
- SPM / O-Levels: Minimum 5 credits, including credit in English
- UEC: Minimum 3 credits
- Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
English Requirements

UEC English Language: Minimum grade A2
- MUET: Band 2
- TOEFL: 30-31
- IELTS: 4.0
- O-Level/IGCSE/SPM English 1119: Grade C
- CEFR: B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1)
- Cambridge English Qualification: 140
- Cambridge Linguaskill: 140
- Pearson Test: 36
- Other equivalent qualifications can be exempted on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates who scored lower than B+ in SPM English Language or the above requirement will have to take the SE004 Basic English subject before taking the SE005 English Foundation subject in the foundation year.
